The purpose of Degumming Vegetable Oils is to remove Gums. All oils have hydratable and non-hydratable gums. Water Degumming is the method used for removing Hydratable gums by treating oils with water and separating the gums. Enzymatic degumming is the process that converts the nonhydratable gums to hydratable form, which can further be removed by water washing. Gums are a valuable by-product. It can be further processed to produce lecithin or acid oil.

It is a value addition of our own produced rice bran gums. Lecithin is obtained by drying the gums resulting from the water degumming process. Lecithin is commonly used in the preparation of food, cosmetics, and medications, as it extends shelf life and acts as an emulsifier. It is also being used as an additive to animal feeds. Rice Bran lecithin contains Oryzanol, Tocopherol, Tocotrienol, Steryl Esters etc

Spent earths are bleaching earths used for decolorizing of oil. It gains oil and moisture while processing and flushed out after use. Spent earth contains high percentage of oil. Generally, spent earth is used for animal feeds, land filling method or concrete manufacturing. The oil present in spent earth can be recovered by solvent extraction. The residual oils can be converted to methyl esters for non-food applications and as diesel substitute.

Rice bran wax is obtained through the cold press dewaxing of rice oil and this yields a yellow, hard natural wax with a high melt point, which is often compared to carnauba wax. They are widely used as ingredients of various polishing agents, foodstuffs, cosmetics, Pharmaceuticals, Fruit & Vegetable coatings, Candles, Textile & Leather sizing.

The Rice bran fatty acid is another valuable by-product of Rice Bran Oil and is produced during refining of rice bran oil. It is well known for contents of antioxidant rich components such as gamma oryzanol and phytic acid. Fatty acids have a wide range of commercial applications. The demand for fatty acid has been increasing for processing in cosmetic industries, food and pharmaceutical areas. It can be further fractionated for producing palmitic acid, linoleic acid and oleic acid.

It is one of the cheapest raw materials in the manufacturing of compound animal feed which is mainly used as filler for poultry as well as cattle feed. The De-oiled Rice Bran (DORB) produced at our Solvent Extraction Plant are of low fiber and are sold packed in a new bag.
